Heartstrings

Heartstrings is a new band consisting of Gerry and Fran Morgan, and Sue Sweetman from Princeton; John Frame from Smithville; and Brian Melick from Sarnia

Gerry and Fran have been playing bluegrass with Brian for about 15 years. Sue popped into their lives around the same time at the Drumbo picking parlour. They met John at a bluegrass festival in West Virginia and were amazed to discover that he was not only from Ontario, but was a good friend of Sue's and that they'd been singing together for a number of years.

One day this past fall, Sue phoned Gerry and Fran and asked if they would come out to the Drumbo Baptist Church to play at one of the Thursday evening concerts. That started the chain of events that led to the formation of Heartstrings. Come to the Fresh Ayr Festival and let them pull on your heart strings.
